About Dr. Enrique L. Gomez

Enrique L. Gomez, M.D., is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is licensed by the state of Florida to practice medicine and surgery.

Dr. Gomez entered the University of Salamanca, Spain in 1973. In 1977, Dr. Gomez completed residencies at the Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Philadelphia. In 1981, he obtained the American Board of Surgery Certification, and he was recertified in 1990 and 2000.

Dr. Gomez has been a fellow of the prestigious American College of Surgeons and International College of Surgeons since 1983. He is a member in good standing of the Department of Surgery of Mercy Hospital, Cedars Medical Center and Larkins Hospital in Miami. Dr. Gomez was also Chief of Surgery throughout the years of different local hospitals which include Victoria Hospital, Cedars Medical Center, and North Gables Hospital. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of Cedars Medical Center and Victoria Hospital, Past President of Victoria Hospital Medical Staff 1992-1993 and Secretary/Treasurer of Cedars Medical Center 1995. Dr. Gomez has been voluntary surgeon of the League Against Cancer as well Vice-President and Medical Director of the out-patient facility for many years in the past.
